UIUC的GRE成绩要寄送吗？

UIUC MCS 官网上是这样写的： 7. General Record Examination (GRE) – Not Required The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) general aptitude tests (Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical) and subject test scores are recommended, but not required. In some cases, the scores may provide helpful supporting information.   A photocopy of the scores may be sent directly to the department if the applicant wishes to have them considered. 我不太理解它的意思。到底要不要ETS送GRE成绩到学校/学院呢？photocopy是成绩单的扫描版吗？但是我考完GRE之后并没有收到成绩单啊（TOEFL收到了成绩单）。
